-Audit of governance processes upon appointment
-Board subscription to Governor Hub
-Clerking of 6 FGB / trust board meetings and 10 committee meetings per year
-Production and circulation of meeting agenda and co-ordination of all papers
-*Governance Professional’s attendance at meeting with the provision of advice on statutory compliance and procedural matters
-Production of draft minutes and action points within 7 working days
-6 x annual catch up (agenda setting) meetings with the school / trust executive and the chair
-Manage the Governors’ online secure area (Governor Hub)
-Co-ordination of all Governance compliance registers (including Pecuniary Interests)
-Access to clerk’s resources (documents / templates / policies)
-Management of governor membership, recruitment and vacancies
-Promotion of all Governor / Trustee vacancies (including free listing at governorrecruitment.org)
-Unlimited access to Governance Professional’s Advisory Service via phone / email
-Annual skills audit exercise with analysis
-Promote professional development opportunities and maintain a database of training attended
-Facilitate the provision of governors attending external meetings and panels (for example, when shadowing or supporting another Board – or visa versa)
-Liaison with outside agencies / Local Authority / Parents when required (in the case of a HR panel meeting or pupil exclusion hearing)
-Professional feedback following each board meeting
-Half termly newsletter (with statutory updates) issued to all governors / trustees
-One in house bespoke training session per year (provided by an external consultant)
-Annual website audit (with follow-up check provided in the spring)
-Manage the Governance section of the school website
-One virtual induction meeting with each newly appointed Governor
-Facilitate end of year board self review
Local Academy Governing Body - £7,995 per annum
Maintained School Governing Body - £7,995 per annum
Academy Trust Board - £10,995 per annum

-Specialist governor panels - Exclusion / complaints / HR hearings
*It is intended that the same, named Governance Professional (Laura Schneikert) will be in attendance at all meetings during the academic year. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, a cover clerk will be provided.
**The Governance professional will physically attend one in-house meeting per term (to be mutually agreed). All other meetings will be held remotely.
Schools will be invoiced on a termly basis.
